Subject: Akaska AIM Final Day Wrap Up, GOFRON WINS

Mike Gofron weighed in with over 20 pounds, displacing Gary Parsons who was holding down first pace with just a few anglers to weigh in.

Todd Riley had a good weight to add to a consistent two day total, but it wasn't enough to unseat Mike who was in the AIM Hot Seat position waiting for the last two Pros to weigh in. Brian Keller, Day Two leader, was the last to weigh in.

MC Tommy Skarlis talked over the 31 pound plus weight Brian CRR'd the day before, while Mike Gofron sweated it out in the hot seat waiting for a total. Brian needed over 11 to win it, and when that was announced, Lund/Mercury Pro Mike Gofron was visibly deflated, expecting that Brian would have at least that amount.

When Tommy Skarlis announced Brain Kellers weight was just over 9#, it took a few seconds to sink in; then Mike took his fourth career first place trophy and held it high.
