Anyone out there with one of these. I am looking at 2006 and it seems to be a great boat for fishing. Little less than the lund and a lot less than glass. Can I go wrong with a crestliner? 250 verado should move this thing along just fine?

Member Posts: 3899 | I've been in a 202 several times. Twice in an FLW tourney on Lake Erie with Rick Franklin. The second day we came back quartering into easy 6 footers. I won't say the ride was smooth, and we did get wet. But there wasn't any smooth, dry ride that day! In normal conditions, I thought the boat rode pretty well. It was fast, I can tell you that. Had a 250 XS on it. Going out in the mornings, nobody passed us. Plenty of room in the boat, big front deck, and good amount of storage. It is a fishing boat, as there isn't any room for more seats. So if you need a family boat with 4 seats, this probably isn't the boat for you.

New User Posts: 2 | Northside I owned one, an '06 202 to be excact, nice rig, huge bow, amazing amazing amount of storage, the absolute only knock I have against it, is that it sometimes didnt track as good as a lund, but for the price I don't think a guy can go wrong, really nice boat, moves good, and im sure youll love the verado, heard good things.

Member Posts: 86 | I have had a 202 TS since 2002 and the ride is very good and it tracks well in the wind.

![]() Member Posts: 120 Location: Devils Lake, ND | I have been using the TS202 since 2005. So far so good. The ride is very soft for a 20 foot aluminum boat. The ride could be dryer, but the full windshield helps with that a lot. Coming from glass to the TS202, it took me a while to learn to drive the boat properly to get the ride as well as stay dryer. Boat driving has a lot to do with comfort. As far as tracking, I honestly do not think you will find a boat that tracks better at fishing speeds that the TS202. If you look at the boat, it has quite the keel under it. The variable degree deadrise has a lot to do with the tracking as well. The boat drifts very nicely also. Pretty easy to keep on a spot with the electric motor too. The added width of the Crestliners make them feel bigger than they are. The 20 foot Crestliner will have more sq ft of fishing space than most 21 foot versions from other companies. Best of luck with your deciscion. Try to get in the boat, even if it is on the trailer, and see how it feels. That is the best way to figure out if it works for you. Is the storage what you like? Is there enough leg room? Only you can answer those questions. If you have any other questions , feel free to e-mail, PM, or call anytime.

Location: Rhinelander | I've been in the 202 several times in petty rough stuff, and fished with Doc some as well. It's a fine boat, and handles and fishes nicely. it's a great boat, and one of the many 20' plus aluminums out there worth a look.

Thanks everyone for the info on the crestliner 202. I now have a 202 in the garage. Hope to see you all on the river in a few weeks to make sure it floats. Here's to the first signs of spring.
