MIDWEST WALLEYE SERIES (MWS) FIRST 2010 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULED MAY 2, 2010 ON THE UPPER WINNEBAGO SYSTEM

APPLETON: The Midwest Walleye Series (MWS) will have their first tournament of the 2010 season in Winneconne on Sunday May 2, 2010 and will include all legal waters above the railroad bridge down river from Main Street, Oshkosh on the Winnebago system that can be reached from Water Front Park, Winneconne by water. Everything down river from the railroad bridge and Lake Winnebago are closed to tournament fishing. Tournament headquarters will be at Water Front Park, 30 South 1st Street, Winneconne, WI. The registration and rules meeting will be at Critter’s Sport Shop, 700 Main Street, Winneconne, WI. Saturday May 1st Registration will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. The rules meeting will follow at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 1st at Critter’s Sport Shop,

New teams signing up Saturday MUST be signed up by 5:00 PM May 1st!

Tournament hours will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. All legal waters above the railroad bridge down river from Main Street, Oshkosh on the Winnebago system that can be reached from Water Front Park, Winneconne by water are open to fishing. Everything down river from the railroad bridge and Lake Winnebago are closed to tournament fishing..
The top twenty five teams of the series will fish the championship tournament and attend the championship banquet. There will be no entry fee for the qualifiers. This years Championship will be October 2, 2010 fishing the entire Bay de Noc.

The MWS circuit is a professional, competitive, and affordable fishing opportunity. Results are posted on our website www.fishtfm.com as well as other web sites. Also, the Midwest Outdoors Magazine covers the tournament results. A subscription to the Midwest Outdoors Magazine in included with the MWS membership.

The MWS is run by Fishermen for Fishermen.

The major sponsors for the Midwest Walleye Series are Ranger Boats, Mercury Marine, Motorguide, and Mills Fleet Farm.

There are still openings in this tournament. We will take entries up to the 5:00 PM Saturday May 1, 2010. However entries postmarked or taken after April 24, 2010 will be charged a processing fee.

It's going to be a good time , the walleyes will be back and hungry. we could break the tournament record agin this year? that would be cooool!!! i'm ready to go. FISH ON GOTTA GO

That brings up a good point. Jim what is the record weight for this event? I think Bliske had over 20lbs in 2002.
