A few years ago I bought a used boat and motor. The previous owner said he had just replaced the sparkplugs and the motor ran great. When I went to change the plugs, "just because"........I notice they were AUTOLITE spark plugs. I ultimately spent the money on NGK plugs, but I am asking if anyone knows, should you run the expensive plugs or are autolite OK?

I have only used NGK's

I believe the below is the Mercury recommendation.

IZFR5G@ .032-.033" for Standard Opti's 135-225HP
