I'm fairly new to trolling and still trying to figure things out, so I'm looking for any opinions. I have 6 Berts stainless rod holders on a track system that I have used for a year now, but I'm wondering if I should try something different. Any opinions? I can't seem to get my boards to run very well in a nice spread, so I was wondering if I should be angling the rod holders at all in any direction? Towards the back of the boat? Also, do I need to have the rods at different heights, the front rod having the highest angle, or should the all be the same? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

straight up and down or slightly angled straight to the side of the boat. the higher the rod tips the better they'll run. i usually run a mast and big boards but with this method the farthest out line goes in the back rod holder, middle in the middle, and closest line out is in the front holder. make sure your farthest out line is on the outside board, then middle like at least 10' shorter and inside line at least 10' shorter again. less tangled lines.
