Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Day three of the 2010 FLW Championship greeted the top ten with sustained 20+ mph winds with gusts up to 26 mph out of the NW. All of the top ten anglers welcomed the challenge and were ready to fish this morning. Going out this morning with a 2 pound, 1 ounce lead over Terry Filkins, Pat Byle planned on just going out and doing what he's done to get where he is. He said the wind might effect how he runs the boat, maybe even making it a bit dangerous to be on the bow but will adapt to the conditions as the day goes on. The wind is supposed to stay sustained near 20 mph all day, decreasing later this afternoon. The top ten are due back at 3pm and will trailer over to North Lights Casino as they will weigh-in at 4pm. Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Fishing his first year as a touring pro, Terry Filkins of Lake City, Minn., went out this morning on Day 3 of the FLW Championship in a very unknown position in the leaderboard standings. Filkins, who had previously fished the FLW Minnesota League Division last year sat 2 pounds, 1 ounce behind Day 2 leader Pat Byle heading out on Day 3. Filkins brought a four fish limit to the scales on Day 3 that weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, giving him a 5 ounce lead over Chris Gilman. Gilman brought in the second heaviest bag of the day weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces. Paul Meleen of Isle, Minn., made the biggest jump on Day 3 going from sixth place to third place with his 10 pounds, 9 ounces. Tomorrow's weather looks to be a drastic change from Day 3. Temps will reach a high of 56 degrees with winds 5 mph SSE. WalleyeFIRST Tournament Coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats!
