I just purchased a new Pro Guide 1825/Yamaha F90 and have been wondering how to prop it. I fish bigger water with heavier loads and want to keep the RPM near the 6000 max. Some have recommended the basic 13 1/4 x 17p or 19p but complained of a lack of bow lift. I see Yamaha now offers a Deep V Series of aluminum props in either 13 1/2 x 17 or 13 1/2 x 19 to address this complaint, has anyone tried these? Also has anyone run the Yamaha black painted stainless prop in 13 x 17 or 13 1/2 x 16 on the F90 on a similar boat? I also hear the Mercury Vengeance 13x18P prop is the hot ticket? I want to keep the RPM as close to 6000 as possible as I fish bigger water with heavier loads. What do you guys recommend based on experience with your boats?

I HAVE AN F90 WITH A S.S. 13 1/4 X 16 AND MY BOAT IS HEAVY. THIS PROP KEEPS MY R.P.M.'S RIGHT AROUND 5800 TO 5900 AND A SPEED OF 33 TO 35 MPH. IT COSTED $475.00'S BUT WELL WORTH IT.

Eyecon Mercury makes the best props hands down but I think the Enertia might be a better fit for your setup. Check with Ken at www.propgods.com great guy and will be happy to help. Tell him I said to contact him. He has a prop swap program as well to make sure you get what prop is best for your setup.
