| had to replace my deep cycle batteries and decided to go with deka group 31's. am looking to replace old transformer style charger and since my tuffy has built in charging system, i'm looking to get a multi-stage portable 10amp charger to put the marco plug on. just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which one to look at. the battery tender charger has only 1.25amps and i think that's not enough for 3 batteries at the same time. i found one called the power that sounds good but don't know anything about it. |

| Why dont you just install a 3 bank and hook it up permanantly? |

| i was thinking if i could use a portable i could save $120 bucks. like $90 compared to $179 for a dual pro or minn 315. being frugal or just cheap i guess. i see ace has a schumaker ship n shore that is a 12 amp that sounds alright.

| you may have trouble with the plug and using a charger. especially with multiple batteries. I've gone through 3 plugs in 2 years (and outlets) all crapped out. thats without hooking a charger to it. I now have a taped up ball of wire in the front that works fine. no more plugs for me. Get a minn kota charger and forget about the savings. rebates offered now.
