Just wondering what a good prop for a 620 ranger with a 225 opti would be. Any suggestions would be appreciated

What year 620? But pretty sure a Tempest Plus 23 pitch is what you want. Medium plugs.

A friend of mine is running a Rev 4 21 on his Ranger 620 with a 225 Opti and loves it.

I am the one that loves the 21 rev 4, 2 plugs removed. I over rev with the 21 tempest and have trouble turning the 23 tempest. Mercury just came out with a 22 tempest which should be perfect I will try next.

Before buying anything demo the prop first. Sometimes a 23 is too tall for the 225 on a 620. I run a rev 4 on a 2006 and am short a few hundred rpm. My 2003 620 had a 23 and it too ran a little short on the rpms. The 2006 is a pro xs so it has a few more ponies that the 03 as well.
Bottom line, ck out at 21 and a 23 before you buy if you can get a demo prop.
I have a tuned 23 from my old boat you could try if you are in the Hartland area.
Take care,
Jim O
