The top twenty five teams from the 2011 Midwest Walleye Series are planning their strategy for the MWS Championship Saturday September 17th fishing the Bay of Green Bay out of Menominee, MI. It will be a one day event fishing this premier walleye fishery. The teams will be competing for over $22,000 in cash, plus merchandise, and the title of being the 2011 MWS Champions. In addition to the $4,000 first place. The winners will also have their 2012 MWS entry fee paid by Lindahl LTD plus an additional five hundred dollars if they win in a Ranger Boat. After four regular season tournaments, it all comes down to the biggest tournament of the year, the MWS Championship.

A total of twenty five teams will be competing during the one day event. Leading the way will be the 2011 season’s Team of the Year Steve Slabe and Lance Busse. There was only forty points between first and tenth place in the points race for the 2011 season. The teams are looking forward to fishing the Menominee area. The teams had good success last month and have hopes of repeating their success. The annual year-end banquet and awards presentation will be Saturday evening at the VFW Hall in Menominee, MI. The mandatory rules meeting will be held on Friday September 16th at the Menominee Marina at 5:00pm. Saturday’s 7:00 a.m. take-off and 2:00 p.m. weigh-in will take place at Menominee Marina. We hope to get a good crowd out to the weigh-in. There is ample parking and we invite the public to come out to see the fish that these teams bring to the scales.

Thanks
