| I and a lot of people are having trouble getting the walleys to bite. it was as if a switch was thrown 2 wks ago they were all overf the place then gone. I've tried weeds reefs rocks river nothing and i'm out there trying to find a pattern, in fact i have the time to do it until I figure it out. I thought I would put this out here to see if anyone has figures this out to get them to go. I think that they have all the feed they can get but to shut off so abruptly ??? |

| Are you only fishing during the day? What were the water temps 2 weeks ago compared to now? What shape are your weeds in? Still seeing lots of life in the areas that were good, just can't get them to bite or are they gone? Lake about ro turn? Some guys might be able offer suggestions if you help them see what's going on.
On my home lakes, this time of year, it's usually a good bet to put more time in after dark. |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Each system seems to have it's own slump period. And yes, somebody will always be in the right spot, or using the right bait or lure, or simply fish long enough during any certain day, and catch some fish even when this slump is in full bloom. I believe all fish species change their roaming and foraging habits during these slump times, along with their preferred forage likings and needs, making it simply harder to get on, stay on long enough and entice them with the right things to get a nice mess of fish. And like mentioned, weather and the changing seasons bring on these good and bad fishing times depending on their arrival date IMV. Then all of a sudden the stars will allign again, and they'll put on the feed bag for the coming winter. The key of course is being there when this happens.

| okay the lake is bago the water temp is low 60's this weather pattern has slowed the weed dying off. I was marking fish could not get them to go Eye I was in the same depth all the way down to 2ft. seriously I pulled harnesses then switched to cranks I really worked at it the weather was nice slight breeze . I dont know if bago turns over like most lakes but Eye Lunker caught fish so they are active. its this time of year that gets me and I want to solve this problem they shoould go I didnt fish just one area . Eye lunker nice job |

Location: Berlin | The bait fish got just a little bigger, that is all. When that happens the edible baitfish population gets 10 times bigger. Too much available food for top predators right now. Once the fall run really gets going you can catch them again when they are confined to the rivers. |

If that is who you really are. There are times in the fall that BAGO sucks. This is one of them. As Rich said, you are competing with an over abundance of food right now. If you must fish the system, it is time to head up to the upper rivers. You know where if you are really fishinFool. |

| Guys,
I fish with Jim and rely on his info to get me on the bite at times.
He had me on fish all August. If he is having trouble finding fish, it aint for lack of effort.
Take care,
Jim O |
