Well, settle back because this is going to be long.

My walleye board buddy "Turfwrench" offered to take my girlfriend Mary and I fishing this morning over to Port Sanilac for trout and Salmon. We respectfully declined after reading that it was going to be between 89 and 93 degrees today by the afternoon. Then we decided to hit the bay for a couple of hours while it was still cool out and do some BOMBING. Got to the Marathon station in Essexville around 7:20 and it was closed, so had to go out to the one on Center and Knight roads. Figured being that took us out towards Finn road anyways, we might as well launch there. The ramp is getting crowded in with skunk weed but it's still not that bad yet, so we paid the $6.00 bucks and launched.

Blew out to the end of the channel with the Jet and stopped the boat in 5 FOW. I asked Mary if she'd like to have a friendly wager today and she said yes. So I asked her to pick out what color Bombers she wanted to use on her side of the boat and I'd use other ones. She picked out the Timmy Horton "Gold Tiger". I thought to myself this is easy money as the Gold Tiger did produce for me once last year, but it has been in quite a slump recently. Started to troll towards the Hot Ponds and "BANG" Marys first pole goes back. Re-set it and before it could work it's way back in line "BANG" #2. And so it went pretty much for 2 hours. In fact when I threw #10 in the box at 9:54 and went to clear her side she was dragging around 2 more keepers we never seen bite.

It was getting hot out and time to go anyways as we were drawing a crowd. When the Country Bumpkin cut us off in his "Hill Billy Charter Pontoon" I knew it was time to go. I was going to lay the pictures I took out in line with the story, but it's time to clean a bunch of walleyes. Oh and I don't know what won our message boards fishing contest in length yesterday, but Marys 5 biggest walleyes amounted to 97 inches long today.
