sheepshead you took this year? C'mon, admit it, you catch a few good sheepies every year. I'll set the bar, lets see if you can beat it ... here's one from Green Bay 2003 fishing with Steve Worrall and Don DeMott from B&WB Magazine.

We fish 2 or 3 sheephead tournaments every year. You weigh your 10 biggest sheephead. It usually takes 45 to 50 lbs to make the top 5, 55 to 60 to win. You think walleye tournaments are fun, try one of thease. Our largest one this year was probably 7 or 8 lbs. The largest one this year at the 3 we fished weighed just under 20lbs.

Zach, In pool 7 this year we trolled up some monsters. Not just one here and there, alot of them in deep water with the little current this year. They sure tear up walleye gear. John Mannerino

Though not the biggest ever to grace my presence, far from the 15 plus I took on the Mississippi several years back, here was one of this years bigguns from me.

Ahh Yes, the lovely Ms.Sheeps Head. Or as they say in the Latin "Bottom'us/Feed'um'us" or as they say in France "Zee-Whistle'ing Perch" or as they say on the Saginaw Bay "The Sewer Tuna". Gotta love em. I've had days when they won't stay off the lines. Caught 22 in a row once last summer, getting 3 or 4 on at the same time. Caught some pretty impressive sizes to. Never did weigh any though. I'm guessing around 9 pounds would be the bigger specimens.

No picture to submit but I had a "swell" 6 to 7 pound hub cap this year. Whistling Perch? Now that's funny.

Prefishing at Big Stone this year I caught one over 10 lbs. It was probably closer to 12.

No picture, but my wife and daughter caught one that went just over 15# on the Miss. It hit my daughters crawler harness, but she wore out and my wife took over while I held the net close bye, just in case those runs it made were not that of the Mississippi scum sucker! Wish I would have taken a digital, it was half as long as my daughter was tall!

had a couple in the mid teens this year on GB......I must admit watching an Offshore board disappear under the water while 150' of line is peeled off is quite exciting.

Those pics look like a specimen I've heard referred to as a Motor City Steelhead, Purple Helmet, or The Other White Meat. Never personally caught one....what's the secret? Ha!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad you didn't ask for the biggest carp! My partner had a 25# carp on a Clown Rip Stick while fishing the MWC out of Little Bay a few years back. We were trolling off of the Bark River area. Thought it might be a salmon when it hit. Knew it couldn't be an eye the way it smoked the board.

Also had the biggest muskie I've ever caught while fishing the NAWA on Okoboji that same year. 44" on a T-stick Jr.

Caught the biggest sheep on Erie this summer while fishing over by Kelley's it was just a tad over 11#s ..... a whole lot of ugly but what a fight!

Here is one that Mannerino and I caught on the Mississippi. Must have been pushing 7 lbs. They only get uglier huh. By the way John, I am getting 4 sample baits made of what we caught this beauty on. I will let you know how they turn out.

A very keen eye Zach. It is just a good thing that our secret bait wasn't lying around someplace in the picture. I think my doorbell would have rung by now if it was.
