Location: Rhinelander | The bite has been very tough, and according to those WalleyeFIRST interviewed this morning, it's the rising water and debris it carries, and colder than normal water temps creating the issues. Most report finding a few fish, and a couple actually reported doing fairly well. The weather is warming substantially today through tomorrow, but most felt the improvement certain to come as the water warms will be a couple days out. The weigh in will begin at the Bay Point landing about 3 PM. There's three flights of 126 boats, a great field for the first NWT. Watch for weigh in coverage just after the last boat weighs in. WalleyeFIRST Tournament coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats and Mercury Outboards. Location: Rhinelander | Pat Byle leads with a commanding weight of 23.76# after the day one weigh in at the Cabelas National Walleye Tour was completed. The bite was indeed tough, with only few limits crossing the stage and the majority of the anglers weighing in netting one or two walleyes. According to reports, the water warmed fast and many of the fish are already in the marshes spawning. In second is John Swanstrom weighing in at 18.81. Third was nailed down by Maury Schmerbach with 17.96, fourth is Korey Sprengel with 16.69. Fifth place is held by Brett King at 15.19. Dewey Stewart is in 6th, Robert Blosser in seventh, Joe Whitten eighth, Don Marks in ninth at 11.48, and Jake Lapine rounds out the top ten.is Attachments ---------------- DSC_0026.jpg (63KB - 97 downloads) DSC_0041.jpg (70KB - 103 downloads) DSC_0007.jpg (65KB - 93 downloads) DSC_0085.jpg (58KB - 102 downloads) DSC_0126.jpg (57KB - 97 downloads) DSC_0133.jpg (68KB - 89 downloads) DSC_0155.jpg (59KB - 90 downloads) DSC_0180.jpg (65KB - 102 downloads) DSC_0172.jpg (39KB - 100 downloads) | ||
