Location: Rhinelander | The Bago Walleye Club tournament is underway out of Menominee Park in Osh Kosh, fielding 65 teams. The bite has been good, and the weather looks like it will cooperate with reasonable SW winds and partly cloudy skies. The mud bite is supposed to be 'on' and is targeted by some of the field today, but a number of teams are heading for the upper lakes and the Winnebago weed/reef bite as well. Some are intending to primarily fish the river. Predictions are it will take nearly 15# for a check and 25# for the win. Weigh in is at 3 PM at Menominee Park. See you there! Updates to come! Location: Rhinelander | Steve Goebel and Mike Goebel take the win with a 5 fish bag weighing 19.21 pounds cashing a check for $2500.00. In second were Kissinger and Donner with 19.15, third were Schwarz and horn with 17.4, fourth were Kahut and Walser with 17.27, and Schwarz and Hues rounded out the top 5. The bite seemed to be spotty, especially in the mud. Goebel and Goebel caught most of the fish they weighed pulling spinners and leeches higher in the water column. The 'door prizes' alone are worth fishing a Bago Walleye Club event!
