Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Just wondering what your favorite color cranks are for 'Bago? I've had my best results with metallics early, then white once the algae bloom gets thick. I like bright metallics for overcast days and less bright ones for sunny days. I've also had some success with dark brown/orange belly baits, but the sheepshead's usually make fishing this color next to impossible.

| There are a few favorites that have garnered my attention over the years. Don't think my experiences on 'Bago are good enough to win, but since the PWT and the MWC are both coming to town this year - will keep these colors to myself. Psssst, jerryisfishingthepwtthisyearsomakehimpay! hehe | |||

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Easy there Rick!!! Actually, I might not be fishing the PWT. All my partner's have received word that they're in, but I haven't heard a word yet. I am told by someone in the know that I'm on the fence.....it could go either way. The colors question is an effort by me to create some talk on this board. I had some spare time at work and wrote down some questions that I'm sure all of us ask ourselves from time to time when we're fishing 'Bago and the chain. Just trying to generate some interest.

Member Posts: 69 Location: Chilton | white wally divers, the reef runner shad baits in that fried chicken color (if someone could let me in on the secret where that name came from?), the monkey puke, tough to beat a good old fashioned Perch shad rap at times. Purple works in reef runners and DJ's. Anything in Silver and black, Blue and Silver or Firetiger. The crank bite for me depends more on lake conditions, light penetration and other factors (like how much scuzz is floating in the water).
