Member Posts: 714 | I've taken interest in a couple new reels this year that I am going to try out. 1 is the Mitchell Avocet Gold Series. Its an 8 ball bearing reel with a nice smooth action, and a good feel. The other is the Plueger Presidente, which is another spinning reel with a 10 ball bearing system, that also has a very smooth action and good feel. Both I found to be well balanced. Plueger also makes a Presidente in a bait caster as well. I also like the whole line of Storm soft body jigs that are out. They aren't a new idea this year, but they are by far the most extensive line marketed that I have seen. One question for anyone who can answer for me. Are these Storm soft body jigs, a product of Dave Storm, or is it a Rapala/Normark product being marketed under the Storm name? Just wondering.

I'll second that EZEE step! What a joy to walk up these steps into the boat in lieu of banging elbows and knees then somersaulting unto the floor of the boat!

The Storm soft plastics are made and marketed my Normark/Rapala, the Dave's Lures (Nitro Shiner and Winning Streak) are made and marketed by Dave's Lures (Dave's KA-BOOM! Baits), Dave Storm's company. Dave's Lures and David Storm are not associated with Rapala/Normark or the Storm brand of baits of any kind. True, his family owned the brand until 1999, but now Dave is on his own! His line currently stands at these two baits, and no soft plastics. Hope that helps!

Finnaly a way to get in and out of your boat without breaking your neck or stepping on something in you boat that you dont want to break. Everyone needs to get a set of these.
