Subject: handheld sonar units

I just received my hand held sonar unit. I bought it off e-bay for 16.50. With shipping and tax it was about 27 bucks. It's a unit sold by Sharper Image and made by Hawk Eye. I'm hoping it will work as a spare depthfinder for off the boat or for ice fishing next season. I don't think it's necessarily as good as an LX-1, but if I can save 75 bucks, I'll surely give it a try. Anyone else have experience with one of these?

They're available on e-bay for less than 15 bucks if you look and are patient. Good luck.
