I have some new spoons and never used them can any one help me on speed you should run with spoons in general and also is it best to run them tipped with a worm or just pull a spoon like a crank with snap weight to get depth.

Hey Mike.

Off the subject. Did Franks contact you about the arrival of the custom Streaks. I think your the same guy aren't you? The retired Navy submarine squid.

Also, I'll chime in here about the spoons I use. I use all different kinds of flutter spoons in the 2 5/8 size length. I use them mostly as sliders above my crankbaits. My particular trolling speeds while using them seem to be a bit fastert than most. 2.4 to 3.5 is a normal speed for me when using them in conjunction with the cranks. This also aides in their staying above and away from the cranks below as they run in tandom.

Yes Pete got me 4 of each and I love them Hey I found a new lure for you it is the trout color in challenger look at it you fall in love with it I bought 4 of them each in jointed and reg dive.

Back to you Mr Larson I am targetting walleye and have multi sizes from 2 inch to 4 inch

Ok Irishweb, I use spoons on Lake Michigan for trout and salmon. For this application, all I can say is faster the better.

I personally use spoons when eating pudding, mashed potatos, etc, for other food I use a fork.
