Subject: Winnebago report Sunday 4/9

Fished 4:30 to 8 pm. Launched out of Pipe. Timed it so I arrived just after a bunch of thunderstorms passed. Weather glass calm, sunny / high overcast, water temps high 50s, air temp high 60s. Headed 5 miles over to Long Point reef, trolled deep water around reef looking for suspended fish. 3 walleyes and 1 sheep for 7 hits in 2 1/2 hours. Pattern was #5 shad raps in natural colors (black/silver, shad, perch) about 10-12 feet down (80 ft back w/ 10 lb fireline). Sheep released, walleyes into the tank. Long Point is usually jammed with boats but due to the T storms there were only 5 or 6 out there so plenty of room to troll.

Got bored, went to Olelerich reef 1 mile south, which had someone on it, so went to Polish reef another 1/2 mile down. Picked up 2 more waldos there anchored with a lindy rig and a minnow in about 1/2 hour. Fish were not interested in slip bobbers, worms or leeches.

All fish "good eater" size, nothing to brag about. Clearly the fish are now back in the main lake; the mud bite should be on within a week or 2, based on past history.
