Many many times I have jig fished on rocks piles anchored out away from the shoreline long enough past total darkness to know the walleyes seem to disappear with the light. But many times have I thrown a lighted bobber from the shoreline near the launch, and filled out my limit in short order!

I've fished here at night but NEVER a Fri., Sat., or Sun. because of too many people in the party mood. I live on the lake and see too many idiots to risk it. That includes holidays too. On a nice night during a regular week we've had some fun and good catches out there. Just be careful and make sure your lights work.

I love night fishing.
But have given up on it up on Bago.
But as the water continues to clear who knows.
And had no luck with it a canada ether, just about got carreid away buy the bugs.
I have great success with it on local high pressure lake, clear water lakes
with lots of pressure(idiot boats all day).
But still shoot for week day nights.

The preferred method for night fishng Winny is to buddy up with someone who owns property on the lake. Lots of fish are caught from shore every night when the wind and weather cooperates. No need to worry about boat collisions and you can have a bonfire (tough to do in the boat).
