We live a few miles North of Appleton in a nice little subdivision. This big brute came by today for a meal of walleye guts! We usually have a few deer, coons, and other pets but this one was a shocker this morning. Check out the little movie below.
Good Luck

The ones up at the cottage love it when I am up there.
Some times they are where I dump the guts when the fish are not done being filleted yet.
Been some time for that though.
Nice to know that nature carrys on.

Ya it was exciting for the wife and Mother-in Law who are both city girls. Neither would go outside untill I got home! We are in the town of Freedom, actually right IN town. Everyone said we should call the DNR about it and possibly have it relocated! I chuckled, although it would be kinda funny to see Kendal shimmy a tree! (hahaha) I would love to see it again, so out went fresh guts and the trail cam. We are within a stones throw of the local High School. If I were up nort I wouldn't even consider it but last year there was one killed by a car only a few miles away I am more worried about his safety rather than anyone elses. You can tell Troy didn't get his excellent video skills from his mother!
Good Luck

Having a bear come into your bait is one of the most exciting things you can do hunting. Just the fact that they know you're there and they come in any way, puts a new perspective on the term "hunting". The area I was hunting was too far away for me bait each day, so in order to keep my scent in the bait area I hung a t-shirt I had worn over a stump of a tree that had broken off in a wind storm. Well when I came back up on the weekend, the t-shirt was ripped to shreds and pieces were all over the ground, needless to say I was very noisy when ever I came in to rebait the site. They may seem to be afraid of us, just don't surprise them or let the kids check them out.

Tyee - did you get a chance to measure the size of the track from left to right or top to bottom?

I am nearly overrun up here with the darn things. We have an abundance of Black bears, and they show NO respect for Sue's bird feeders at all.
