Location: Gladstone, Michigan 49837 | after a raining Memorial Day yesterday which dropped a good amount rain this morning greeted us with cloudy skies and air temps. in the middle 40's. Fishing started out good this morning at 7 am catching a nice eating size 16 incher right away using a Walleye's Choice Floater in purple tipped with a crawler and weighted with a 1/4 ounce slip sliding bouncer. We covered water depths between 15 and 25 feet of water working off the Center Reef areas. Moving back to the lower end of the bay towards the Gladstone/Kipling area began picking up some fish off the reefs south of the Yacht Harbor.
Here fish were caught using both Floaters and a combination of jigging and working "Gulp" minnows rigged on 1/4 ounce leadhead jigs.
Water surface temps. were running that 54' to 56' today through much of the bay and with light winds most of the day our presentation was using the bow-mount electric working marked fish on the electronics.
The key was seeing fish and after catching several turning and moving right back over the schools of fish.
Our total catch of fish today for Ron and Sandy Williams along with Sandy's Brother Buddy was 5 legal walleye to 22 inches and as close to remembering 20 undersize fish. It was a fun day and all about having fun and catching a few nice fish for a cabin meal for some great folks, here is Sandy with our catch of fish!

Location: Lake City Minnesota | Just curious if you could explain some info on Alewives and their spawing habits and how the walleyes react. I am assuming this could play a role in the Cabela's National Tournament. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
