I live in Chicago and I`m fishing the wat there the same weekend. I would suggest that you find a room now if you want to stay in tremp or you will be staying in the lacrosse area. Leaf lookers grab alot of rooms that time of year. I`m staying at the pleasant knoll, stop by and say hi.

Right now, the action has been on the good 'ole Jig and curly-tail....chartuese colored. Went out on Saturday, Pool 5A, and caught 9 fish over 16 inches. The biggest, in the boat, went 25.5" in length. The largest of the day had the hook pull out inches out of reach of the net....we estimated it to be 29 to 30"

The hot weather will slow them down, but you will be hitting it perfectly for the fall fattening.

If the weather stays warm look for them on the tips of the dams.
