Member Posts: 59 Location: Appleton, WI | I was wondering how anybody has been doing on the walleyes throughout the bago system. How you guys or gals have been catching them or is this a dead time of year. I have not been on the lake for awhile now and was wondering if it's worth going out there now that summer is here with the warmer temps. I really enjoy reading the reports so keep them coming! Thanks.

Member Posts: 874 Location: Neenah, WI | We slipbobbered the humps off Garlic for a few hours on Sat. and kept 4 eater walleyes. We were actually after perch. The previous Sat. we had 10 perch and 2 walleyes. Bait was a piece of crawler.

Member Posts: 377 Location: Neenah Wi | I went out for the first time in about a month or so and trolled the shorelines in 8-13' and did ok not a lot of fish but enough for a meal.Nice eaters too 14-16" I'm sure the reefs are doing about the same.Heard slip bobbers are doing well too.Wally divers have been the bait I've been doing the best with.I have not been posting much lately been too busy trying to sell the house and the salmon thing, only have so much time you know.Good Luck

I don't post much anymore,on this board, because they always repeat themselves.Fishing for eyes is great,in the river along the 12 foot break line.Reefs continue to be good, with a little wind on them.Weed beds are still holding fish, and under bridges also has produced some.Perch are spotty to say the least, good one day and slow the next. Most fish are in 6 to 7 feet along the shoreline,or the 12 to 13 foot transition, along the west shore.Helgramites (sp?)have been the best, with leaf worms second...hafe

Member Posts: 3899 | Anything new to report? I talked with Wolf River Resort Bait Shop on Monday. Said it was slow up by Winneconne. Gazillions of minnows in the river right now. Will be up this weekend. Have an open seat for Saturday, if anyone is interested. I want to fish the river from Pioneer to Butte des Morts.
