Location: Annandale, MN | We hit the big pond (Mille Lacs) yesterday and results were slightly slower than I would have expected. The day started out with a double...only check out my new walleye go-to bait! A 3/4 oz spinner bait and oh yeah, the smallie was caught on a crank bait. I think the fish were a little confused.
We ended the day with this dandy! Nav

Location: Rhinelander | Walleyes will hit near anything sometimes. I caught a 10# plus fish this July on a Muskie topwater plug that is 8" long. We actually catch a fair number of bigger eyes in the weeds on Muskie size spinnerbaits whie in Canada, and I have had that happen a time or 12 on Pelican i9n Wisconsin, too. |

| Steve, your absolutely right, At Leech lake MWC we thought we had a winning pattern going while prefishing. My friend caught a 26" 'eye on an 8" Jake and a few minutes later I had about 24" 'eye take a swipe at a #18 Rapala next to the boat. None-the-less the Muskes weren't so cooperative.
Too bad it was an evening bite |
