My family and I got back from vacation in Orlando, FL. Visited the House of Mouse and Sea World, while basking in the 75-80 degree sunny weather.

I was amazed at the number of people at Disney, considering that right now is knwon as "off season" for Disney. The fireworks display they have was the best I've ever seen. My kids had an awesome time, as did my wife and I.

I'm thinking about trying Bay de Noc one more time this week before she freezes up. If anyone has been out or knows of some reports from there, I'd appreciate any information I can get. I am assuming it is still open for another week or so. Thanks.

My Dad and I had 5 on Thursday (fished during the day). Biggest was 29.25".

If you can get out, I'm sure you could get some fish.

Sunshine - Was that your Buddy, John G? He was there over the weekend with Greg Bartell, caught a ton of small 'eyes and a couple nicer ones.

Jerry, my son and I were out last Saturday. It was a bit windy in the morning but calmed down by evening. The fishing was super throughout the whole day with our largest at 29 3/4" and weighing 10# 7oz. We averaged about 4 fish per hour with a couple of doubles and a triple. I'll be at the Bucket in Kewaunee tomorrow evening. Drive up and we'll can talk about it.

Jerry,

Not sure what you decided to do but it doesn't look real promising for the weekend with this cold snap. It's been freezing there for the last 30 hours. I just got off the phone with Chris from Bay View Bait & Tackle and he'll check out the launches this evening after work and give a report. He agrees, it doesn't look good.

I have to work this weekend and I was looking at going tomorrow. Based on the winds I think I'll skip it. If she's still open Monday and Tuesday there's a chance I might go then instead. If not, it's been an awesome season anyways!!!

This report comes from CHRIS WAHL at BAY VIEW BAIT and TACKLE

Now you can put the boats away. Made a check of the local launches after work tonight (Kipling, Gladstone, and Esky River,)and they were all iced up. The little bay in Kipling between the launch and Marble Arms, as well as the back half of the Escanaba harbor, were both iced over. Wouldn't be suprised if there were a few guys on those two spots this weekend. Also heard there was up to four inches on some of the inland lakes. Hopefuly it won't be long now!

I hate when this happens.............I still wish I had one more chance

Looks like now the cold over night temps. have locked in the lauches pretty well now. Gladstone and Kipling real tight with ice, Esky River launch has ice but the river is open with current flowing through,
Might be time to but a good coat of polish on the boat, maintain it for the winter and putting the dust cover on it until spring.
