Made a run to Cabelas last Saturday and found some pretty good deals on baits. Picked up a pile of Berkely stickbaits. I have used em before and had really good luck pulling them on 3 way rigs, at 2 bucks a pop I could'nt pass em up. Has anyone ever tried the Cabelas brand walleye runner? They look identical to a lil ripper and were less than half the price. Have never ran the Cabelas version so it's to soon to tell if they were a good deal or not. Any thoughts? Going to Cabelas gave me a really serious case of spring fever.

I love those little rippers and would be great if the Cabela's product was close enough in action to work. A few years ago I bought a bunch of shad rap imitators from Cabelas that woudl be like a #9 shad rap but with flat sides. I soaked those guys for a long time before they became permanently encsconced in my basement.
Take care,
