Location: Menasha, Wis. | Looking at the NOAA site it appears that there might be ice piled up south of Oshkosh by Blackwolf point. Does anyone know if there still is ice floating around the lake?
The reason I ask, is that little brother may want to break-in his new boat and motor on Saturday and Bago would give us a lot of room for the break-in without bothering other boaters/fishermen.
Thanks for any info you can offer.

I live on Doty Island, it's open water as far as I can see up here and I'd think you could boat up there safely.
I work in Oshkosh and usually take Cty A to work -- there are some pockets of ice/slush, mainly towards the south ends of the big bays, Mansur, Cowling and especially Asylum.
I have heard there is still some significant ice out from Oshkosh and to the south. |

Maybe we will play with the new boat on Little Butte De Mort.
To all the river rats this weekend - wishing you lots of fish and a safe trip. |

| Good choice going up river. Bago is still ice clogged with floating ice all over - and the water is still low. Give it a few days out there yet. |

| The ice is now gone from the West shore on the South end of the lake. |
