I can't remember the water temp when walleyes head to the wing dams,is it in the low 50's.
Went out the other night with a strong South wind and caught only a 11 pound mudcat. Lead head & ring worm.
6 lb. test 1 lb. dia. it was fun.

They use tham all year, even in winter, it is more flow dependent that temp dependent. Traditionally it's may through October and into November assuming the flow is not too strong.

The eyes are on there now. We got three last night up by bellevue on the wing damms.
