We were fishing blackbottom area at night with good 4+'s. When we both went to the back of the boat to net fish I had to turn on both bilge pumps because we would take on so much water. You couldn't see the big ones coming but you sure could hear them. A little scary when your near shallow water.
We'll try to get out there again on the 25th-27th. If we get our deer quickly on the 19th we be there the 20th. Save us a 15 pounder.

Could anyone tell, If a guy was going to fish between Peshtigo and Menominee and the green island area, where is the best place to launch. Also, does anyone know of a affordable motel in that area that caters to fisherman, has good parking and electric hook up for batteries. If you'd like to share a little fishing info on the area, i won't say no.
Thanks
Brown

Brown, you can launch right in the Menominee river near the mouth. It's not a bad drive to any of the places you mention other than Peshtigo in a strong SW wind.

Good Luck

Jayman, are you the same Jman off L. L. The weather next week is no looking very conducive for fishing. Read the Offshore long range forcast for lake Michigan and it looks like 6-12 footers all week. I hope there wrong. If not I'm gonna have to stay in the river.
Thanks for the info on the launch.

The Tarragon motel is good for fisherman. Situated between Marinette and Peshtigo, it gives you the option of launching at either place as both are close. I think you'll like it there.

Brown, yep same Jayman as on Lake-link, I assume you're Ed?

I wouldn't get to worried about the long range forcast for MI. That is based on open water, the bay can be considerably different. But it is a very good idea to keep your eye on the weather this time of year.

As mentioned the Tarragon is a nice motel and very convient. Easy parking for full rigs and a nice establishment with-in walking distance.

Good Luck
