When I think of premier fishing shows of course the Linders come to mind, but here is one that I have become very fond of, Fishing the Midwest with Bob Jensen. His style is more about showing you different places to fish along with a variety of techniques. A plus is at the end of the show he gives out local chamber of commerce and other tourist information. Also, most of the places he hits are right in our own back yards. That's another real plus for anyone, whether you are a beginner or seasoned pro. I'm always looking for new water to try! Here is a link to his site that describes past and future shows. http://www.fishingthemidwest.com/tvshow_descriptions.shtml And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe our own Loren Waalkens has been a guest on Bob's show. I'm not much of an ice fishermen...I guess river rats prefer moving water. So at this time of the year I really look forward to watching regional shows such as Bob's'.

So let's hear it. What other regional and national fishing shows do you watch?

Hey Jon, good to hear from you. Your right, in the past few years I have done a handfull of shows with Bob and it has allways been a great time. Bob and his crew are truelly a pleasure to work with. Recently talked to Bob and we are planning on doing something here on the river again this season, looking forward to it. Like you I enjoy the Linders show, Jensens show, and can't help but watching Joe Bucher when he is chaseing Musky. Lots of good shows out there but very little time to spend watching them. By the way, I am still looking forward to that ride and a little fishing in that new river rig of yours.

Yep, I'm still planning on coming down! And I think Zach expressed interest too. Where should we put it through it's paces?

I guess I should finally get cable.

41 years and counting, no cable.
