Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | Not to butt in or change topics, but why would a 5'9 rod be awesome for walleye fishing? I can see the appeal of the extra fast teep. 5'9 a little short, no?

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Rich, Send me the penny and you can have the autograph ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for not getting back to you esox. Been doing a boat show since last friday. Long hours and lack of computer access. Go ahead and sell it. I'm always concerned with someone sending a rod trhough the mail to me. Bad experiences with them breaking. That's why I asked where you were, I was hoping to pick it up. Komo, that rod is awesome for jigging and rigging NOT casting. I have 2 already and they are great.

Member Posts: 6 | komo, rod manufacturers make different lengths because of varying techniques and individual preferences. I used the rod for jigging and it did a great job. Even at 5'9" it still did pretty well in the casting department as well.
