Conngratulations to my dad George Gahagan and his partner Jerry Federer for winning the tournament yesterday!
It was a very tough bite that required patience. They caught fish one here and one there all day. My partner Chri Sperring and I could only muster up 4 fih for 7 1/2 pounds. Zach had a limit of fish which was a triumph in its own with the conditions.

Fun time!

It sure was a tuff bite I spent about an hour and a half out in the bay in the morning and decided that the bite out in the bay wasnt going my way and ran up the river and pulled five for 7.74lbs I think that put us in about 18th out of the 87 that fished.

Had fun yesterday in what is surely going to be an annual event for me, and hopefully with Zach. We caught 5 fish for 9 lbs, and took 14th place. Missed a nice fish that would surely have put us in the top 10, but other than that, and a short run of sheeps, the 5 we weighed were the 5 we caught.

Russell, good to meet you and your dad yesterday. Congrats to him. Zach and I saw him, and the second place Skeeter all day, inside of us.

Butch, Horshak, jerry, Wade, John G, was great seeing you guys. See you next year!

The wife and I really struggled. Caught one short walleye and a really nice fat 17 inch smallie. The wife really had a rough day losing two heavy fish we didn't see. She blamed it on me not taking her fishing enough.

Randy and Karl did a great job again and I vote "for" the new location.

Bob,

Sorry I didn't see you. Were you in a white Ranger? Blue Ranger Raingear? If so, then I did see you, on the water at least.

And I did like having the weigh in and festivities at Jimmy Seas. Very nice place. Thanks to them for hosting this event.

Shep,

We were in a Bule/Gray Ranger. We followed the husband and wife in the white Ranger out in the morning.

Butch - nice to meet you in the morning. I had a company party Saturday night and with the zero, I wasn't up for staying around.

Butch, nice to meet you in person.

Congrats to all who made the right move to put fish in the boat.
We chose to swing for the fence and wiffed it.

Shep,

You must have liked the planer board wheeled into the console trick! They're Offshore Boards so they can take anything! Russel and I like to mix things up when we fish together. If you're not going to have fun then why leave the landing in the morning. I mean seriously though Russel might want to at least spell my name right...he made sure he spelt his dad's name right!!! Ha Ha.

Russ and Chris. I laughed out loud when I heard you guys, and saw the planer board toss. Zach and I also laughed a lot at the two guys in the old "Cadillac" aluminum boat, and the old Merc. They were swearing up a storm. Pretty cool to see that old boat out there, and they made it back for the weigh in! Congrats to those two!

I would also like to say that Jerry"s G3 is a sharp looking boat the graphics on the wrap need to be seen in person. Also for all the guys that I saw and met at the classic it was great meeting you all and I am looking forward to many years of fishing walleye with against a great bunch of guys.
