| Cool, I thought kids fishing by themselves was out like a summer with no plans, sports, camps....etc.
When I was their age I fished every free moment I had. My stepdad used to tell me kids left little or no scent on thier baits, thats why I caught more than him, never believed it but seems like I used to catch fish a lot easier then......course maybe I just make it harder now....

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Cool story Purple Skeeter. I get to hear similar stories every day now that summer is here. My son Brandon literally lives in the Manitowoc River this time of year and he's always home at 6 pm, waiting for Dad to come home from work, so he can share today's adventures. It's by far the best part of my day!!! |

| Thanks for reporting Purple Skeeter . I think about the good old days everytime i have a slow day out on the pond in my boat. Sometimes i wonder if i should jump back on my bike and grab my Zebco 202 and maybe the fishing would come back down to earth due to all the new technology. It seems we make it way too complicated at times.Glad to hear the kids are out fishing and had a succesfull day! I wish more kids would jump on the bikes and peddle to the lake or river to fish. |
