| As I drove over the Hwy 43 bridge listening to NOAA Weather Radio, I glanced to the west and saw a change in the weather was coming.
Today the anglers will be faced with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, that are supposed to continue through most of the morning and afternoon. After the launch, the western skies were even more threatening, and I believe for once, the weather man might be right.
Ted Takasaki, taking an 8.5# lead into the final day of full field fishing, was relaxed and joked that he was "just going fishing."
Flo Swank stood on the dock waiting to get picked up by her Pro for the day was a little different. She said that she has never been so nervous in her life.
Boats motored past, and all seemed to be rigged up with spinner rigs and some bottom bouncers that didn't even look to be 1/2oz. Light weights, spinner rigs....I'm guessing suspended fish that are pretty high in the water column, but I'm in a hotel, not in a boat.
The day has started with pre-frontal conditions and a dropping barometer, so one might guess that the early morning bite should be a good one.
In day one, most of the field limited out by 11 and some by 9. Today, I believe, will see a repeat of some big fish seeing the net early.
