 Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Went down to my boat this morning about 9:30 to pick up a few of my rods and reels to re-spool them from a few of my recent line twist and breakage accidents. While I was there one of the elderly ladies I took out over 4th of July showed up at my boat. You got a trip this morning Capt. Dan she asks? Nope, not today. Wulp, you wanna take me and Dorthy back out for 1/2 a day this morning? Well, if the storms hold off we might get a 1/2 day in, I answer. So we laoded up the gear and away we went back to my spot where I quit yesterday. Almost immediatley we were into decent fish and boated 7 in a row as fast as I could get the lines set. Then about 7 little dinks fallowed with a decent sized perch. Then the darkness moved in and we decided it was looking to bad to continue. So in about 2 1/2 hours we boxed 5 fish. Then right on que, the rains started. Snapped a quick picture of some of the fish before we quit not wanting the rain to spoil it like it did yesterday. These Gals have been single for a lot of years and are something else for sure. They own their own boat here and in Florida. They have a Flats boat they use for Red Fiish and Sea Trout in Florida and a 17 footer here they use for fishing walleyes. Reason they are chartering so much this year is that Betty (the one on the left) almost fell in reaching out to grab an Inline board earlier this year. I took these gals back in 1996 when I first bought my Grady so they could get an idea of how trolling was done on the Bay. After yesterdays trip we stopped in at Geno's Fish market so Dorthy could pick up 2 pounds of the Cajun White Fish sausage I talked about on the boat. And then we hit Northpoint Bar for a 16 inch Northpoint Delux Pizza and a few Ice Cold Gillians beers. Betty drank water because she was driving.
