Anyone getting any? I have tried the mud, shallow, and rocks without much luck. Without giving away any spots...anyone have any tips. FLY

Seen some guys last weekend getting a few off fishermans and the outside of abrams reef. Then another bunch, which were getting inthe way of the trollers off stockbridge, near the humps. Typically, perchin starts going no?

Will be out there this weekend, seeing what i can scare up.

Use your electronics and/or an ice fishing depth bomb and try to find transition areas, the lines where sand-rock changes to mud. The transition lines are easier to find along the edge of the reefs but run all along the west shore. The best presentation has been #6 gold hook/crawler below a split-shot either deadsticking or slip-bobbering. I use my walleye rods which are a little too stiff for deadsticking perch, so I generally use slips. Keep your presentation tight to the bottom. My experience lately -- if you're getting sheep, you're too deep.

Get out on the reefs, we have been doing well on them for over 2 weeks. Chunks of crawler on a plain gold hook or small jig. Plenty of sheeps to keep you busy, but they are there. Bonus walleyes as well.
