Hey guys, I know they are fairly new, but I was just wondering how they are in rough water, and also where I could find a used one with a dual console. I am looking for an 1880, a Skeeter 1775, or a Tuffy 1760. Anyone have anything I might be interested in or know where I should look to find something? Thanks!

I would be willing to bet there will be a few Tuffys posted on this site in another month or two. I know of a few of the new Tuffy 1890's that will be up for sale soon.

I just drove a Skeeter 1880 with a 200 HPDI. It seemed pretty nice, but I have heard that they are a pretty wet boat. It seemed good in the small one foot chop I was on. I haven't driven the 1775, so I can't tell you much about those. I would say keep an eye on the classifieds from this site and you'll probably see some good boats soon.

I might have a 2006 Tuffy 2060DS Osprey with a 225 Optimax, loaded, coming up for sale soon.

My MWC partner Mark O'brien has a 1880 with a full windshield with a 200 Opti on it. I really like the boat. I would say it is a tad more wet than my old 205 but it is a smaller boat also. It is lightning fast, Mark gets low 60's gps. The hole shot is good but is much slower with fill livewells (still much better than my 205). Fishability is good, the only negative is the bow sits too high. Layout is good as well. If you do get one, I would NOT get the jump seats but to each their own. Overall, it is the best boat overall under 19' that I have been in. Mark does use this website so if you have any questions, just post them and I am sure he will answer. He also takes alot of guys out on demo rides if you are interested.

I will be out fishing this Sunday, Aug. 20th. If you would like to take a test run in my 1880, I would be happy to take you out. Skeeter stopped making the 1775 in 2005. You will only be able to find used ones for now. There might be a couple left overs out there, but you might have to travel a good distance for them. There is a slight possibility that I might be selling mine this year. It is kept in pristine shape. Rich can verify that. Let me know if you want to go out, or have any more questions about the 1880.

I know of two 2006 Tuffy 1760 Walk through windshield models out there. Both have new 150 Merc optis, stainless prop, and are ready to hit the water. Call Denny Fox at Fort Fremont or Bob at Mr. Marine, either can get one of the rigs easily enough. Should be at a very good price, these were photo boats and should sell for under 30K.

My 1890 DS sales sample with a 200 Opti will be for sale very soon, too. No kicker, but otherwise ready to go. VERY low hours, an Eagle GPS/sonar and Eagle sonar, MotorGuide wireless 24V electric, custom tandem trailer with fiberglass fenders, aluminum mags, and swing tongue...ready to rock through any Tuffy dealer at $32500. Full warranty, too. Dealer can add a kicker.

Hey Steve! Don't boats for sale with a price like that have to go in the classifieds? Just ribbing ya! I tend to forget you run this sight. On a more serious side, give Budsbud66 the details on those 1760's. I know he was looking to upgrade earlier this year. Is there a finders fee involved with selling these boats for ya? LOL! Just kidding again. I'll keep my ears open for anyone who might be interested. Give me a call, I have a few questions for ya. 920-652-0206

Thanks for the replies guys, I am still waiting for the right boat to come my way. It sounds like either way I go I will be happy. Hopefully something will come along in my price range nearby sometime soon. For now it is the 16' Sylvan! Haven't been out in two weeks, but that will hopefully change this week!

Ever consider a Triton 189 ? I am looking at selling one or trading in. Just a thought. It is a 2000 and would be priced to sell.

I have looked into them, but it probably has black on the back, and I am trying to get an Evinrude or Yamaha. Thanks though!
