What is your go to presentation for the last month before ice up? We've always gone to jigs and plastics on the weedlines here in Oneida County. Looking to expand my horizons!

I like trolling big crankbaits on the river. Problem is, I can't keep those big muskies from hitting my lures!

Location: Laona, Wisconsin

Trolling when on Lt. and Big Bay de Noc or Cedar River areas and jigs with redtail chubs in Forest, Oneida or Vilas Counties. Usually fish water that is 20 feet and deeper after the fall turnover on deep water lakes. Clear calm days seem to be the best during the daytime.

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay.

Jigs and Blues quarter casted or virtical jiged during the day, and/or #14 Huskys fan casted or #7 Shad raps trolled at night. Full moons or near artifcial lights are the best times and/or spots.

HAHAHA That should get the bass guys going. I also favor bigger baits slowing down for better fish. Not as many fish but usally the big girls.

I use 7" creatures in the fall on the weedlines with 1/3 to 1/2 ounce jigs, the walleyes love 'em. I just need to find some time now before we freeze up here!
