Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Gentlemen, I am in the process of registering my new G3. Is there a place where I can walk into and register it instead of sending it off to the state? Do county courthouses do this? How about some type of registrar?

Do they do it at the Lic plate places like here in MN? I just go in and they handle my plates and all the stickers and DNR stuff right there.

But your stickers will be sent to you hopefully in a timely manner. They usually are but has been known to take a few weeks to get them from my experience. So to answer your question, you can not just go to a courthouse and take care of it. That's not how it works.

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | I don't have a dealer....I took direct delivery from the factory. I'd rather walk into a place and get everything done direct instead of sending all this junk in the mail.

Member Posts: 32 | A buddy of mine walk into the d.n.r. station in Oshkosh and renewed his registration for his boat today, if he wanted the stickers right away it was 5 dollars extra or he could have them sent to him and they told him it would be about 10 days to get. I'm sure you could go up there and get your boat registered.

Member Posts: 389 | Jerry, If you can't get the Registration papers/Numbers before the first event....I would think that as long as you have a copy of the paperwork, along with the copy of the payment, on you... that should be enough evidence of registration until you can get your stickers mailed to you. Afterall, you can only move as fast as the State allows. Just my take on it. Juls

Member Posts: 859 Location: Appleton wi | Jerry you can go to the oshkosh DNR office and submitt paperwork and pay fees it speeds up the process. Boats are titled and reg. by DNR not the courthouse. Edited by eye Lunker 3/29/2007 6:39 AM

Member Posts: 1314 Location: Menasha, WI | bagz, You can only renew registration for previosly registered boats online. You're right, it's a very convenient service but it looks like jerry needs to 'first time' register which is not possible through the online service.
