I am looking to purchase a new fiberglass DC with a walk through windshield. I would like this boat to be between 18 and 21 feet. The boat design must allow for a kicker motor. I have viewed the following manufacturer products –

1. Lund – not out yet

2. Ranger

3. Skeeter

4. Stratos

5. Triton

6. Tuffy

7. Warrior

8. Yar Craft

9. (Smoker Craft – Cobra = Sylvan - Viper) – Not sure if a kicker can be mounted on the 206?

Does anyone know of any other boat manufacturers that makes a quality boat that would fit my needs? I want to check all options before I make a decision. Any recommendations or warnings would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you pretty much have them all covered. What you decide on ultimately comes down to what you are using it for, the times of year, and where you will be using it the majority of the time. All these boats have their own strengths.

He's looking at Fiberglass, M.

Anyone wishing to post why they like a model listed, let's hear it. All are good boats, so I don't expect to see any negatives...

10. Charger

11. Champion 186FH

It looks like the Champion and Stratos are made on the same hull and just have different layouts. Both list Murfreesboro, TN as contact location.

They have the same length, beam, max horsepower, transom height, fuel tank, etc. Same trailer in the Champion as well as the Stratos boat pics. The only difference is in the weight. Stratos is 1890 and Champion is 2050. I am sure this extra weight comes from the permanent U shaped storage it the back of the boat. I would be interested in knowing any price comparison (thinking that Champion might be a lot more expensive).

They both look to have good layouts. Those 25” side walls and deep v will catch a lot of wind and wave and might make drifting or trolling a little hard.

Side point – Champion model 21sx wins for the best looking models so far a blonde and a brunette. It looks like the guy in the pictures ends up choosing the blonde …. Go Figure!!!!
