Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Waiting for lowrance on the phone is a process, maybe someoone else has had this. I have a copy of mapcreate 4. I built a map and saved it to a MMC card. I read the card and the map is on there. cool. I then put it in my new H2O I finder and look for the file and the file is not there, on the card, to be down loaded. Will the new software in the handheld not read the old soft ware of the map create? Thanks

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Rich, not sure what you mean by the right directory. When I slide the card in the mmc reader, it is not a lowrance reader, just a run of the mill reader, I can open the file no problem on the computer. When I put it in the H2O the file is simply not there under transferr my data. Ideas?

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | OK so here it is straight from lowrances mouth. after 1 hour on hold, I got through. The mapcreate 4 software will not work with todays processors. The H2O needs at least 6.3 mapcreate to work. As easy as that. Sooooo......who has a copy of the 6.3 they aint using?

Member Posts: 1382 | If the center is very busy answering consumer questions, getting through might take some time. Sell as many units as Lowrance/Eagle do, and it's going to be busy, especially this time of the year. Try the other companies, you can end up on hold there too. Denny, I have a copy of Map Create 6 sitting right here, want me to ship it to you?
