Member Posts: 1382 | The weather is cooperating today with West to Southwest winds this morning, warm temps, and a forecast looking for a possible shower. The entire field was on their way by 8:18 AM, broadcasting across the big lake in all directions. Al Sholts was fired up as he could be as he and his Co Angler idled out of Hunter Point's Marina while an In Fisherman Cameraman prepared his microphone for the day's filming. It's any body's game today, but if Al can repeat yesterday's weight, he will be hard to catch. Al has a long history in Walleye tournament fishing going back to the early days of the MWC, so he's no stranger to heading out on the water in contention for the win. Member Posts: 1382 | The bite was a bit off from yesterday as the winds died and sun appeared. There were still a good number of limits, but only a couple fish over the slot came to the scales. Al Sholts holds the lead going into the final day by three pounds, a pretty good lead for this system considering the slot. 'I fish this system quite a bit', Al told WalleyeFIRST during a taped interview tonight, 'and I've caught TWO fish over the last 6 years over 28". One was day before yesterday!' he went on to say he intends to hunt his slot fish, and stay with the same program with no changes. Watch for morning coverage to begin around 9 AM, and the final weigh in at 4 PM Central.
