Have a business acquaintence coming up that week. Looking to do a smallmouth trip with his brother and 2 sons, on the Bay.

I don't do smallies out there yet, so am looking for some recommendations for a good guide. Will he be able to take out 4?

I am thinking out of Sturgeon Bay, but not sure if the smallies are there then. I will contact Doug Schreiber, but is there anyone else that does smallies with a big enough boat?

Thanks.

Shep, don't over look Winnebago. The smallie fishery is totally under fished. It should be getting pretty good out there right now for 'em.

Yup, but they specifically mentioned Sturgeon Bay.

They may want to walleye fish, too. You want to take half of them out one of those days? hehehe

I'd love to, but don't have the time.....anytime one can fish the Bay, it's worth it. Bob Claus may be a guy you want to get in touch with. He goes by Finfanatic on Lake-link and Hawgeyes.net. He's licensed and knows smallies on the Bay specifically in the SB area.

Might want to check with Dale Stroeschein as well, one of the best smallie guides up there and nice accomodations at his resort as well. Might cut you a good deal on a package type deal.

I agree, Stroschein is as good as they get and fun to fish with.

No response from Doug, and his Hot jigs site is no longer. Will try to hook them up with Dale. Thanks.

Jayman, thanks for the plug. I am not sure what the heck happened to Doug, I have not seen him around in a while.

I could be available for a mixed bag trip if someone is looking.

I won't disagree Dale is a great guide up there and knows his stuff and would not begrudge anyone for booking him.

I just did a Smallie trip last weekend and it was a bit tough going on the lower bays of DC, but the weather has stalled them a bit right now. Ironically enough if you happen to be out running on the reefs for Eyes you will probably be pulling Smallies also right now. Found a few spots last week of stacked Bass on some reef tops.

Can you take two men and two boys, ages 9 and 12? If so, I will forward your info. They are looking at smallmouth only, I guess.
