Has anyone been out latly? would like to catch a few eater eyes befor the drive back to colorado. Has the front shut fish down? ive read so many good things, maybe i just dont know what im doing.

Try the north end and drag your baits in the mud. The wind will push the fish down tight to bottom and the weather isn't helping them either. Bottom bouncers with spinners or try some t-sticks and tots.

There should still be fish on the rocks as well, just find the hot piles and keep jumping around until you find them. If you don't get any within 20-30 minutes it's time to move.

Like Darboy said.
Put the tots and tsticks down from 6 to14 feet depending on your graph marks.
If the fish are showing up in the 12 foot range, they might also be up as high as 6 foot feeding Cover all the bases. Firetiger and silver blue tots have been ok for us. We have done better on the tots than others lately, but not very well with anything. This is a tough time of the year with all the baitfish in the system.
If you are in weedy water, move to clean water or you are wasting your time dragging dirty baits all day. The prevailing winds in the day(s) preceding your fishing should tell you where to start and where the clean water is.
Good luck,
Jim O

WE fished today from 7 am until 5 pm. WE hit the reefs with jigs and crawelers, and then trolled both the north shore and the east shore in both deep and shallow. WE ran harnesses, scootchie rigs, and every crank bait in my box. Ended up catching two walleyes, both 12 inches, and 2 perch. Everything released. It was not a good day today for AXL.

I fished Wed. and Thur. with my biggest at 18". Lots of floating weeds due to all the wind. The tourney out of Stockbridge (actually Brandt) was called off this morning due to rough conditions. With 50+ boats entered I didn't hear 1 complaint. Now I'm at home and as I look out the window I'm sure glad I'm not out there. It'll get better, someday............

Amazing how there is no complaining when safety is the number 1 concern. Nice call on the cancelation. We were out in that crap for a bit but decided it was better to be on solid ground.
