Fishing activity continues to progress in a steady fashion.
Lot's of on/off weather issues with warming mornings and afternoon thunderstorms and much needed rain dropping.
Water temps. stabling into the lower 70's
Some pretty good hatches of mayflies in the last several weeks but now seeing those not as abundant, alewive schools being seen on the electronics and also noticing alewives on the surface in areas jumping showing some active Walleye feeding on them.
Walleye activity and fish are being found near and around the weedbeds as well the deeper waters.
Winds will definitely effect where we are finding fish as well,
Still best methods; crawler harnesses slow trolling using bottom-bouncers and boards or drifting.
Been hearing a few reports of anglers casting in the evening hours using cranks picking up some fish as well.
Perch bite is being seen in some of the upper weedbeds fishing worms and crawler pieces off rigs and also using slip-floats in 15 feet of water and less, so don't overlook fishing for them.
Here are some fishing memories and now a look at the "NEW" fishing pier located off the Gladstone Harbor mouth. Another "shoreline" advantage for fisherman.
Also a follow-up of this past weeks FLW Walleye Tournament;
check out Walleye's First's website,
