Holy cow, how sad for those people on the bridge.

This is a MAJOR freeway thru downtown Mpls, 6 lanes wide, I have been over this bridge 100 of times since we lived here

Same here, it just doesn't seem possible that huge structure could simply collapse.

First I want to say my thoughts are with the families of those affected.

Second, I think you're going to see somebody criminally negligent on this one. After what almost happened to the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee 5 years ago, there is no excuse for this. They found strutural problems last year, they should have closed it and fixed them. IMMEDIATELY! Bridges made from steel stress and delvelop cracks. Those cracks get worse, and then the bridge fails. You cannot say this happened wiithout warning.
