Misery loves company....

I just had to cancel a guide trip to Lake Delavan after hearing that the county closed the public boat launch because of the high water. Reports around me indicate that landings are either closed or there is a no wake restriction on many of the lakes around here.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing around your area?

If for no other reason, this thread may save someone a long trip to the landing.

The Madison,Wi chain is slow "NO WAKE" anywhere on the water. My guess is this will be in effect for 3 weeks.......more rain coming.

You can actually fish the Mississippi, but it's like fishing in a cup of chocolate milk. We also have an unbelievable amount of duckweed covering the surface of the water.

I'm hoping the rain raised the water levels on Petenwell and helped to wash away some of that algae.
