About the Grand National Walleye Cup
Welcome to the Grand National Walleye Cup, the new standard in weekend walleye tournaments. There has been a need for a reliable weekend walleye team circuit for some time now, and the staff of Fishing Promotions, Inc. considers it a great honor to be able to fill the role. We have a lot of experience running high-quality team tournaments, and we can make you, the tournament angler, a couple promises. Its how we earn your trust, and its how we will grow to be the premiere walleye team circuit on the planet. First, we promise to be firm, but fair and consistent. We promise to put you, the angler, first. I have always believed in the philosophy that tournaments should work for the fishermen themselves, and everything else will fall into place on its own. In short, if we make it work for you, the sponsors eventually get paid and then the tournament organizers get paid. We put our tourney anglers first because you are the backbone of any tournament circuit.

You will see as you learn more about the GNWC that we have a rather unique concept. Anglers can fish at several levels. You can fish just one or two tournaments close to home; you can compete in all four in any division to qualify for the state championship; or you can compete as a national team and have a part of the National Cup championship. Your choice. If you want to be a national team, you simply put $100 into the National Cup pot before you begin fishing the division. If you fish all four qualifiers in that division and finish in the top 20 by points, you will be invited to fish for the National cup, with all the money, prestige and even television coverage it can offer. What a tremendous opportunity for team anglers, one that has never before been offered.

I hope you will catch the enthusiasm that has made the GNWC a reality. Some of the mostly highly respected companies in the fishing industry have shown their confidence by throwing their support behind the GNWC, and we believe we can earn your confidence too. Watch us go and watch us grow. The GNWC is one of the best things to happen to walleye fishing in a long time. We hope to be in 18 states by 2005, and its people like you that can make it happen. Come on along, its going to be an exciting ride!
